The short version

We collect what it takes to print your order and mail it to you: contact details, a shipping address, and an order record. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your cart lives in your own browser. We don't sell personal data, we don't buy it, and we don't run a surveillance operation on the side.

What we collect when you order

  • Contact details — name and email, used for your order confirmation, tracking number, and any support thread you start.
  • Shipping address — given to the carrier so the package can reach you. That's its only job.
  • Order record — the items, sizes, and finishes you bought, kept so we can honor replacements, refunds, and warranty questions later.

Payments: Stripe, end to end

Checkout is processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry, and CVC go directly from your browser to Stripe over their encrypted connection — they never pass through our servers, and we never see or store them. Stripe may use your payment data for fraud prevention under their own privacy policy. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Apple Pay are all handled the same way.

Your cart lives in your browser

The shopping cart is stored in your browser's localStorage — on your device, not our servers. Clearing your browser data clears your cart; using a different device starts a fresh one. It's a deliberate choice: your shopping list is your business until you check out.

Analytics and advertising trackers

We run light analytics — Google Analytics 4 and/or the Meta pixel — only when they're actually configured, to understand which pages people read and whether our ads are honest money or wasted money. Beyond that, there are no ad-tech trackers, no third-party data brokers, and no cross-site profiling. If either tool is ever removed, nothing else replaces it quietly.

Email list

If you join the studio list, we use your email for release notes, early access, and the occasional studio story. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click — no dark patterns, no “are you sure” gauntlet. We never add order customers to the marketing list automatically; buying a print and subscribing are two separate decisions.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
  • Store payment card numbers on our systems.
  • Share your address with anyone except the carrier delivering your order.
  • Email you marketing you didn't ask for.

Your choices

Email hello@otowncustoms.art any time to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Order records may be retained where tax law requires it — everything else goes when you ask.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the change appears here with the date below. Material changes — anything that would surprise you — are announced on the studio list before they take effect. This policy was last updated in July 2026.
